CADET UNIFORMS

Working Dress

This is the standard uniform for Air Cadets. This uniform is worn with beret, dark working blue shirt and jumper. Note the brassard (armband) on the right of a cadets arm, which displays various qualification badges.

Note: girls may wear trousers for cold weather (if not on a formal parade), or when particular activities require the wearing of them.

Working Dress – (Short Sleeve)

In warm weather, jumpers are removed and the sleeves of the working blue shirt are smartly turned up to just above the elbow. The brassard is always worn in working uniform, so is therefore attached to the shirt. If a cadet is wearing a stable belt or purse belt, it is only seen when in shirtsleeve order - the stable belt is in the RAF colours and the females purse belt in RAF blue.
