Flight Lieutenant Andrew Smith


Flt Lt Andrew Smith is the Squadron Commanding Officer. He joined the Air Training Corps when he was 13 yrs old, with his long cadet career he managed to reach the rank of Cadet Warrant Officer and on 21st February 2003 he was commissioned into the Royal Air Force (Volunteer Reserve Training Branch). He became Commanding Officer of Pershore Squadron in August 2006.
 
He holds the Basic Expedition Leadership Qualification and has completed module one of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Leadership.

He has also completed a Level 2 Food Safety Course and holds an Appointed Persons First Aid Certificate.

 
 
  

Pilot Officer Lisa Meredith


Plt Off Lisa Meredith joined the Air Training Corps on 29th November 2004.She started off as a Civilian Instructor assisting with the Squadron administration. On 29th January 2008 she was commissioned into the Royal Air Force (Volunteer Reserve Training Branch). She holds the Basic Expedition Leadership Qualification and has completed module one of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Leadership. She holds an Appointed Persons First Aid Certificate. 
 
She has recently passed her CVQO ILM Award in First Line Management.
 
Lisa’s is the Squadron Adjutant and her other roles are Corporate communications and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
 
 
 
Senior Aircraftman Mark McQuitty

  
SAC McQuitty joined the Air Training Corps when he was 13 years old and stayed till he was the age of 20. He then joined the Royal Air Force in May 2007 and is a Technican working on VC10s. 
 
 
  
Marks’s main roles on the Squadron are Visits and Supply
 
 

Civilian Instructor Matthew Schadler


CI Matthew Schadler joined the Air Training Corps in November 2001. He rose through the ranks. Matt has currently completed his Silver Duke of Edinburgh award and is working towards his Gold. In October 2008 he became a member of staff. He holds an Appointed Persons First Certificate.

Matthew’s main roles on the Squadron are Cadet Training, Bader administrator and assisting with the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
 
 
 
 

Civilian Instructor Gareth Smith


CI Gareth Smith joined the Air Training Corps in November 2008. He enjoys making aircraft models and flying on flight simulators.
 
 
 
 
Gareth's main roles on the Squadron are Stores, Naafi, Health and Safety, Aircraft modelling and Squadron IT.
